Do I pack shorts or coveralls?

Headin out west this Friday for our yearly pheasant hunt. My cousin brings a couple of buddies up from Texas and I bring a few buddies over to hunt with my uncle and a few of his friends. This will be our 6th year, but the first without my grandpa.

So..do I pack shorts or my long johns? This temperature swing makes me excited for duck season, but leery about the upland hunts.
 
In Kansas it is wise to always pack shorts AND coveralls. I would say we are almost always shedding layers throughout the day, except for the occasional odd day when it never really gets any warmer.

I'd pack whatever you're most comfortable wearing in the hotel, bowling alley, pool hall, casino, or wherever you like to go when their aren't any birds. :)
