Deer

Got mine, yes.

Our group of 7 - 10 shot around 15 of them. Deer were everywhere. I passed on what I imagine were about 15 deer before selecting a mature doe on Sunday morning. One shot, one kill, at about 50 yards.

Congrats Nate, sounds like a good time and some meat in the freezer. It sure sounds like you guys saw an awful lot of deer where you were. Good for you guys. I will be heading out for late muzzy with the old primitive black powder musket in Southern Iowa in a couple weeks and hope to report good things. Hope all is well with you, Gunner and the family.

Yes, big numbers this year. In fact, we've had big numbers for many years running now. And we thin the does down . . . as the farmers demand it. I think I've taken a doe the past 4-5 years now, with a buck or two in there as well.
