Deer hunters

Mild weather/deer for mounting-----Gentleman, get your deer capes into a freezer or to your taxidermist as soon as you can (after shooting your deer).

I've had a number of hunters leave their deer capes on their deer (as their deer hangs) in this mild weather. Out of 4 Whitetail's I caped last Friday 3 were slipping. Just had a young man bring another one in. It too was slipping.

You can not let your deer hang for days on end when temps are what they are. Usually we can apply products to slipping capes to stop slippage but your still taking a chance of loosing your cape.

They need to get into a freezer. I know it feels cool, but it's not cold.
