Deep Thoughts

"Deep Thoughts" was a satirical sketch that appeared often on Saturday Night Live some decades or centuries ago - I can't remember. :p Anyway, I was wonderin' if anyone on the forum has any "deep thoughts" or what they might think are deep thoughts about the current state of . . . damn, I can't remember. Well heck. I thought I had a real good idea for a thread here and it just petered out on me. 20 days till Kansas dove. 50 days till Kansas fall turkey. 88 days till Kansas pheasant and quail. Damn, I guess this thread shoulda started in the Kansas subforum, or the "Nutcase" subforum. Where am I anyway? Is this Ted Nugent's site/blog? I sure hope so because I want to sell him some counterfeit huntin' licenses so he can hunt "legally."

If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

It's easy to sit there and say you'd like to have more money. And I guess that's what I like about it. It's easy. Just sitting there, rocking back and forth, wanting that money.

The face of a child can say it all, especially the mouth part of the face.

"One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. 'Oh, no,' I said. 'Disneyland burned down.' He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late."
