We quit by noon today. 60 degrees and few birds. That area I was in has nice big, grazed heavy pastures. Might be good for early chicken season if there were any around. Only one flock spotted.
Overall good trip. Got the dogs on some hens and once covey of quail. Won't be going back out west anytime soon tho. Found out that the grass isn't always greener on the other side of the fence. Too many quail close to home to go elsewhere.
Staying home and licking my wounds tomorrow.
