danner eastridge. anybody use these boots...they are American made. I am between them and all leather pronghorns....I had a pair of the older pronghorns and loved them..however I have heard poor reviews of the new style. plus they are made in china. if anyone has used them let me know how you like or dislike them!

Been waiting for someone to respond about the specific boots in your post. I am on my fourth pair of Danners, but not the model you ask about. I just bought a new pair and limited my search on Danner's site to Made in USA. I looked at the East Ridge and they look like a lot of boot for the money. I paid more for the new Made in USA pair I just got and I do like them very much. Well, that's the best I can do.

No experience with them, but I like the looks of them. 3 ounces heavier than Pronghorns, USA made, and only another $10 higher.

I had some old Pronghorns that were awesome, just wore the toes through I wore them so much (and didn't condition the leather, use Obenauf's by the way on all your boots). Then replaced with the new style Pronghorn. They're not bad, but the foot to me is a lot stiffer, less comfortable than the originals.

Have a pair of USA made Danners, (discontinued, forget the model) and I really like them a lot. In a hotel in Portland right now, if I had time in the morning I'd run by their factory for a tour. Maybe next month.
