Caught some nice crappies today as finally could fish some open water. Next week the fishing should get going if we have some decent weather.
 
You must be from southern Iowa. Fishing crappys instead of eyes.
 
No, Just have my priorities in line. When I work its from dusk til dawn, so I can go hunt'n and fish'n. Speaking of fishing, kudos to the Iowa DNR for improving our walleye fishing. Having good luck on the eyes so far, and yesterday landed my biggest one yet 28" and she's still swimming in the lake. If this good fishing keeps up, I won't have to go to ND or SD.

Went to SD today to fish. Spent 60 bucks in gas 20 in bait 60 on a license and did not catch a thing. Wish I had more days off. My boss makes me work almost 24/7.
 
Your not enticing me to take up fishing with a report like that. Hope you at least got a tan for your $140.
 
md, did you go to the Miss River or try some lakes? It takes a few fish to equal one pheasant. I'm heading to Devils Lake in June, I'll pickup you and niceshot and teach you boys how to fish.
