Coming out of the closet....so to speak!

Hello all,

Well, I've lurked and spied on y'all enough, so I thought I'd introduce myself and "come out of the closet" ...

Long story, short. Husband has been hunting since he was 12, every generation before him were hunters. Life kind of put him in on a temporary hiatus. He made babies, dealt with wife with babies, and made a big move from PA to CO.

Babies are older...wife isn't as crazy, so I (the wife) went out and got my Hunter's Ed cert, we bought our small game licenses and we want to continue this tradition with our children. So far we have busted our bums scaring every dusky grouse, rabbit, and after the 13th, every pheasant as far away from us as they can get. Shoot, I would've been flippin' happy to see a Starling on Saturday. I'm starting to think this is all smoke and mirrors and y'all just like to wear blaze orange and camo:D.

Well, we tried out Morgan/Wash counties and this Friday we are going to head out Phillip/Sedgwick way. So if anyone wants to increase their luck, just look for the red Dodge Durango and hunt the field next to us, behind us, or just walk the same field after, and I'm sure you will get something!

Seriously, we are loving every minute of it, and our kids are loving 1/2 of those minutes. Good luck everyone, and I'm going to wander over to the dog training forum to see if someone can help me find a place to take my ES and get some exposure to some birds.

Later!

Thanks for joining the site and introducing yourself:thumbsup:

I'm very happy to have a lady around here and I'm just elated to hear that you and your husband like to hunt together.....and your screen name.....PERFECT:)

Welcome to UPH, Thank you for the write-up. Yes getting that ES trained will help a lot in getting some closer shots at pheasants........Bob
