Was close to Colby a week ago, Saw a few not a lot. Birds are very spooky. More hunters than in many yrs have been out that way from what the locals told me. You understand the word is go NW and sounds like everyone has went NW. Hope its cold or they will be out in the open. Good Luck Dave
We hunted SW of there and had decent luck but it was down from last year for sure. We shot limits but had to walk more to get em. My 3rd pointer in a year and a half died this year so I just have one young female lab. I sure miss my white and black speedsters. Lol.
It always hurts to loose those hunting buds. Guess we always keep them in our minds though and with joyful memories. My hunt was a great time not to forget just not a lot of shooting. Met some new wonderful people and hope made a new huntn friend. Wish I could have made it up to meet westksbowhunter but I hope to get one more trip in this coming new year. Wish all ya huntrs the best. Dave
NW is generally good, but I have not hunted Thomas County. Generally north is better than south. The County Club Motel used to be dog friendly but haven't stayed there for some years.
