Has anyone hunted SGL 43 in Chester County? Thinking about doing a late hunt in December and that's where the most hens will be released.

We usually hunt up at Nockamixon early in the season but we were thinking about adding in a late hunt in Chester County and were wondering if anyone has hunted there and especially late in the season.

Welcome!
I have never hunted there..but from what I have heard and what I know about the area I think you should look into more options. Remember, the numbers you see allocated are for the county, not specific sites..those birds will be released in multiple locations.

Yeah I know Chester County has a couple different release spots, Dry Dam, Marsh Creek, etc. Just kinda picked SGL 43 as it looked the biggest and I figured they would put the most birds there.

Any thoughts on Lehigh County? As far as I know they only have on release spot, SGL 205? Or any good spots to go late season.

I know SGL 205 very well. It get's hunted hard because of it's location but has always produced birds for me. Good cover exists throughout..that can make for a challenging hunt especially if you are unfamiliar with the area but that's what it's all about. Always end up getting on a few runners there..some real thick areas serve as a hideout for some of those roosters that can get smart really quick.
