Packing like crazy tonight (and for the last 3 nights). Heading south tomorrow by 11a.m. (told the boys at work to cover for me).

Hope to bag a bird or 2 in Conrad tomorrow, then down to Billings on Saturday and on Sunday I will hit the Holy land. Be hunting around Mitchell on Monday and shopping my brains out at the happiest place on earth (Cabelas).

If you see a '98 tan F150 with Alberta plates it has to be me.

See you in 2000 kms (1200 miles)

Looking forward to meeting some of you!

I know the feeling

Hey Scoob, Ive been going to montana to hunt for the last 10 years. When I saw your post I had to laugh because I get that feelin every time I start to pack. Hope you had a great trip to SD. As far as transporting pheasants, I just throw them in the back of the truck whole ( weather dependent of course, but they should last until you get back 4-5 days at around 0 to +5 )
Last time we went , we came back with pheasant and sharptail bricks. Cleaning can get a little chilly since you really dont want to freeze/ Thaw the birds to often if ever. Just thaw enough to clean, then right back into the freezer.

Heading down to MT on Dec 2nd, Cant WAIT, I Think I'll Start to Pack!!

The trip was good, but I will write more on that later. Where are you going in Montana? The couple days I was in Conrad I thought there was a lot of birds.

Montana Trip

I'll be hunting around the havre area, then get into phillips county, probably as far east as fort peck!! There are always good bird numbers along the hi-line. Lots of wma , blm , crp , all the stuff, having a couple national wildlife refuges doesn't hurt either.
