Can anyone help me out? I am looking to buy some birds out in SW kansas for thanksgiving break. Since there are not enough birds to hunt figured I would buy some and take my kid hunting. Closest thing to Dodge City is what I am looking for.

I'm sure someone will know. But just in case, you can go to the KDWP website and I am almost positive they have a listing of all the preserves in the state listed.

Just east of Pierceville on north side of Hwy 50(pens right against the highway).

IIRC, you can put the birds out during the season, but you are under the same limits as if you were hunting wild birds.

No your not if u have a receipt. If i bought 20 myself let them go and shot all of them that day a game warden cant say jack to me.

I could be wrong but I thought you had to have at least 160 contiguous acres to qualify as a Controlled Shooting Area, in which case you could shoot as many as you wanted? I'm not entirely sure of all of the technicalities.

What if released on private ground--not in CSA. I would think if you have a reciept then you would be OK if you bought 10 birds and shot them all.
