Brown County Success

I spent 3 hours hunting in Brown County on Saturday morning. It was just the dog and I, and we flushed 8 roosters and 13 hens (plus 1 deer and a rabbit).

I shot my limit and was home in time to make bacon-wrapped pheasant appetizers for lunch.

I went out again today (Sunday) and only saw 2 hens in 2 hours. Go figure.
 
Heading to Brown County to try finding some roosters on Saturday. Does anybody know any really cheap motels in the area for Saturday night? Would appreciatte it!!!! Just 2-3 of us heading down there from the cities.
 
I don't live there, I was just down visiting for Thanksgiving weekend.

I was at a WMA just East of New Ulm.
 
If your down this way again, I'll give you some PM directions to a couple of little "Honeyholes" on public ground. Been producing birds every weekend and the snow made it even better last Saturday. 4 guys 12 Roosters!!
 
I'll make sure to take you up on that! My New Ulm area hunting has really been hit-or-miss.
