Has anyone ever had a dog that was hypoglycemic? My 18mo old GSP is usually full of energy and will hunt all day long but once we are home he seems to crash for multiple days before recovering. I get that he would be tired for awhile but my other dogs seem to recover much faster. I was at the vet this morning getting his staples removed and while talking to him he said it was possible that he had low blood sugar and to feed him small snacks throughout the day while hunting to see if that helped. Just curious if anyone else has experienced a dog consistently taking more than 1 day to rebound from a single day hunt.
