last year deer kept wrecking my bird feeders. so this year i built one with a 10 cedar post with 2 eight foot arms on it. deer cant reach feeders. song birds love it my koi pond is next to it for water and bathing. very relaxing to watch all the differnt birds in the morning while having coffee. now i only have ONE bird using the feeder. a $@#&%$ HAWK. he sits in the neighbors tall pine tree. now all i have is piles of colorful feathers.

I feel for you BC. I have had a bird feeder up and no hawks or deer problems here. Ravens took it over and I took it down.

Yeah BC, seems we make it easy for the hawks.
