Been awhile since last pheasant hunt, any advice?

Hello fellow hunters,
Myself & my family (Father & 2 brothers) went out pheasant hunting around Haxtun/Holyoke on opening day...We hunted all weekend after taking a few years off... We noticed a drastic decrease in the pheasant... Needless to say, all we left with was a bunny... Any advice on finding these willy roosters would be immensely appreciated! Been known to pay in beer...lol :cheers: !

P.S. We have also been considering quail hunting if the pheasant numbers are just bad this year... Never been, any suggestions in that area would also be greatly appreciated as well! Same deal here too...lol :cheers:

You are not alone. Going to take alot of driving/walking to find what birds are out there.

Cant help you with the quail, I havent done that either.

How far you willing to drive for quail? I have a few spots to hunt, but around 5 hours from Denver Metro
