Bear hunt 2010

Northern Minnesota, 8 in our camp and we got 2 in 5 days of hunting 27 of our friends in 4 different camps in a 30 mile radius only had 4 total 3 yearlings and one 150 lb field dressed.Most baits were being hit nightly by good bears but not many showing up during hunting hours. We had a great time as always at bear camp this year.

Highlight for me was my grandson making a visit to bear camp!! Now its a third generation bear camp.

at twenty feet to the bait a slugs does a great job as did my arrow on mine.

neat photos what weight do you guess that 1st bear at? 500. Impressive beasts, we fished near Orr one year did the bear sanctuary before DNR took it over, back when the old logger let you feed the bears. Are you in that area, he always had a bunch of very large bears that came in?

Thanks we are about 60 miles from Orr to the west and north a little but she looks like she might have made the trip eating all the way . I have been there a few times too and they really get fat at that place. a group of our friends hunt west of us 20 miles and they had a bear at their bates that looked like that also.
