Hunted West of Aberdeen. 4 days 10/31 - 11/3. Anywhere between Ipswich and Cresbard. Private land mostly with some road/ditch and public hunting on first day. We have hunted this farm the last 5 years and every year is great. However, this year is the most birds we have ever seen. Limited out by 1:00pm everyday. Other years took us to about 5:00pm for comparison. Every piece of cover held many many birds. Slews, grass, corn didn't matter... Many fields were never planted this Spring because of all the rain which I guess helped with the hatch. When looking for a downed bird, we found 2 pheasant nests with the hatched shells in the nest from the Spring. It was not uncommon to put up 75-100 birds pushing a field. If I can only find time to get back in December.
Good Luck to all the rest of the year.
