Hello, just joining from Arkansas and am pleased to have discovered this site. I came across this forum while searching for pheasant hunts. Been looking for awhile, but didn't even think about a pheasant forum - should've known. :)

I moved to Arkansas 10 yrs ago, from Alaska, where I've been blessed to have found a hunting partner who owns some very special hunting properties. All total he owns near about 1000 acres of cypress swamp, flooded fields, and ponds. These are some of the finest duck holes in Arkansas. We're always trying to improve our food plots and manage the land for our deer and turkey as well.

Anyway I'd like to find a place where we can fly in, still have my AK plane, and enjoy a few days of pheasant hunting each year. I don't need much for a runway, most ranches have plenty of landing sites. Of course trading ducks for pheasant is a possibility. I've traded hunts in the past, Dall Sheep for Elk, and it's always worked out great. Well anyway I'm all ears on this pheasant hunting and hope to get a taste of it next season.

Welcome to the forum.

BTW, from my limited travels, I have enjoyed both your states(Arkansas and Alaska).

Welcome to UPH, hope to see you here often.........Bob

Thanks for the welcome! Yeah we loved Alaska, lived there for 20 years. But it's apples vs oranges concerning hunting. I have such an appreciation for less logistical hunting such a cool morning squirrel hunt or the whistle of mallards flying by just before shooting hours. But I grew up quail hunting and think I have an ideal of why you fellars love pheasant hunting so much.

I'd never been around planes, before going to Alaska, but it didn't take long to realize they're a necessity to accessing the bush.

Welcome
I bet living in those two states you have some good stories and pics. To share with us.

While I'm trying to figure out picture posting, I'd like to just add that I also have a GPS, and a VTX and GMC too ....
