Anyone want to hunt tomorrow

I know it's late notice but I'm headed south tomorrow if anyone wants to go. Dog or no dog your welcome to go. Not heading to any private honey holes or anything so no high hopes of that.

I also get up at a more reasonable hour lol. Usually head out around 9 or so.

I thought you were going waterfowling. You got me all excited yesterday with your report of mallards on the river and geese in the field. You got me thinking so hard, I decided to go chase some webbed feet myself.

The field I had lined up got hunted before I could get in it. So, I am off in search of quail tomorrow. However, my primary reason for heading south is to scout. I have another small river down there that at times holds a number of birds with little to no hunting pressure. I'll start and end Saturday and Sunday waterfowl hunting.

I went out on a quail/scouting mission this afternoon for a bit but none of my fields in that area were being used yet.

With fuel prices like they are these days I like to combine some sort of hunt with a scouting trip. I just can't afford to run the amount of fuel through my truck like I once could and did. Kids are older, college is around the corner
(next fall) for one of them.
