Just kicked this site up while doing some searches. This is one sport I have loved for many years. I typically hunt on the WIHA and private land I have access to in SW Kansas around Lakin, Garden City, Liberal, Hugoton and Garfield. I have been doing this with my son for the past 13 years and last year brought along another father/son team to help us cover more ground. Actually got two hunts in last year, one before Thanksgiving and another the week of Christmas. Was able to beat the cold fronts both times.

I have run German Shorthairs for the past 10 years and currently have a good one who will be 5 this month. I have placed some pics of the last hunt on the following link. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=18761933&uid=2902753

If there are any others from Houston or in the SW corner of Kansas who would like to possibly meet up this year for a few passes just drop me a line. It would sure help to find someone with another dog or two.

Maynard - we stayed at the T-bird motel there in Dodge for one night last year. Got a chuckle out of the "Scenic Overlook" on the east side of town as it overlooks a very fragrant stock yard.

Now if that made you chuckle, then how about the propaganda on the website that says, "Dodge City is nestled amongst the forested rolling hills."???
