A Place To Stay

My group of 6, for sure, maybe 8 are looking for a lodge or farm house to stay in for the week before Christmas. We will have 6 - 8 dogs with us and plan on hunting public land with the epicenter of our efforts being around Wakkeeny-Hill City area. Anyone have some leads?

Hill City

The Western Hills Motel in Hill City is cheap and allows dogs in the rooms. I talked to the lady who owns the hotel in town. She allows dogs in the rooms but only kenneled. She offered to provide me with names of those who rent housed to hunters but I declined and stayed at the motel. theres a great sub sandwich place in town and a bar and grill. the local country club serves the only breakfast but they open early. Hope this helps.

Lodging Around Hill City

In addition to the Western Hills Motel, there is the Shweitzer (sp?) Inn or Hotel, formerly known as the Pomeroy Inn (no dogs in rooms), and Goddard Ranch (Mary Goddard?) in the country which also has a bit of land that you can hunt, and the Pheasant Inn in town which has kennels.
