A booming duck season ahead?

All this rain many of us have been getting this spring/summer has it's benefits. Though it's not so good for upland nesting conditions it does produce ducks. Lot's of them too.:thumbsup:

This could (possibly) be a great duck season.

Yes I have seen lots of ducklings this year on the lakes down here more than I have seen ever down here.

Yep, it's a good year to be a ducking in the prairie pothole region of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Not such a good year to be a farmer or a riverfront property owner, but a good year to be a duck.

I saw a fresh brood of 7 mallards that were probably 2 days old on the 5th of July. Baby geese were already colored out. I have seen other duck broods that are almost feathered out.
