2020 Season stats

- 57 total different public land units in 15 counties, primarily in South Central and South West MN
- Total hours hunted was ~100. Most hunts were just an hour after work.
- Total birds flushed 428
- Total birds harvested was 43 - all MN public land

- Hunted 33 days
- 33 different public land units, 9 counties
- Didn't track total flushes or hours hunted
- Harvested 27 roosters - all public land

I read back through my pheasant journal tonight. I'm glad I did it and it brought back lots of happy memories. My favorite were reading when the dog flushed and retrieved a bird late in the day and got revved up. I know you're not supposed to anthropomorphize, but it's hard not to do. There was a bird where she lead me over a gravel road against my wishes, and then raced down into a deep culvert/ditch area and I just saw all the horsetail shaking like crazy and then a rooster blasted out 100mph and I raised up, shot, and she retrieved all in a few seconds. She was so excited after that. Such a great evening hunt. I'll never forget that memory.
