Well, the early season snowstorm that struck here in the northern panhandle , along with parts of wyo and western Dakota really put a damper on the pheasant hunting, I bet population dropped 30-40% just from that one storm. There have been enough birds to keep it interesting and I have managed to put some meat in the freezer, i.e. photos attached. I would just encourage others out there to take some youngsters hunting, as usual taking kids out has been the most highlights of my 2013 hunting season and I honestly believe, one of the solutions to solving the declining bird numbers here in Nebr. is to get more kids involved in hunting and pass along our passion and respect for our sport. If we do this, there will always be sportsman working to advance our cause!
