2013 Hunting Atlas

Picked up the new and improved hunting atlas at the grocery store today. Didn't study it, but it quickened the pulse.

Does it seem like they lack detail? I hate it. Im used to the old ones with more detailed roads and highways.

This new one seems more detailed than the old ones with road names and better quality paper making them easier to read.

I agree. Will make it easier to find fields that have no birds in them.

WIHA maps

I have not tried it this year, but for the past two years I have downloaded the map to my Garmin.

It's pretty cool to drive down the road and be able to see the WIHA before on the screen before you get to the signs.

The Google Earth file you can download to your phone is pretty cool also.

I found that to be cool when it worked. It seemed like I spent more time trying to get google earth to load the file than I did looking at the map.

I wish KS would have an App like SD has. We hunted our way to where we were staying. Navigating from the back seat. I would say, go straight two miles, take a left and Field to left is walk in, field to right is WPA, need to use steel!
