Looks like the Atlas has been published. Snuck up on me this year. Just a quick glance and I saw my ol favorite "29" is no longer enrolled. I don't hunt it much anymore, but it holds very strong memories.

Rusty, thanks for the "heads up". I was out scouting this week but didn't give a thought to the 2010 Atlas. I'll take a look later today. Good cover in many parts of Kansas and saw some birds too. Could be a little better than last year.

I've heard some great things about the bird #'s way out west......not the last tier or 2 of counties, but pretty close. Harvesters said they saw more birds this year between say Garden City and Colby than they've seen in their journey across the midwest this summer....take that for what it is worth
BTW, I heard this from a group of harvesters that is currently in SW ND, which is just loaded with birds. It is a down year for SW ND, but even a down year there is incredible. I guess we'll see won't we

I just looked over the WIHA map and there are a couple of my favorites missing. I guess I should've went ahead and tried to lease one of them. I'll jot that down as a lesson learned.

KB - we are probably looking at the same areas. Might even have passed each other up over the years.
