I'm just curious what you guys use for quail in a 20 gauge load. When I was shooting my 12 gauge I was using 7.5 shot target loads and they worked great but wasn't sure if the lighter load in 20 would work as well.
KS are you referring to 12 or 20 gauge?I have switched to Winchester AA SUPER SPORT (they have multiple variations - get the super sport loads) - 7.5 shot -- works great for pheasants, quail etc. I love those shells.
I buy them in both 12 and 20 -- --KS are you referring to 12 or 20 gauge?
Don't forget to use cash. They can't track that unless they go through your wallet.I need to buy more ammo for my two 20 gauges. I'm running low and all I have is a few boxes of cheap #6 and #7 1/2 shells from Walmart. My wife is out of town and I'm feeling brave, so I ordered a case of Migra 3" stacked #6/8 shot yesterday that I found on sale. Never shot it before. Going to Rogers in a few hours and buying a case of the Rem Nitro target and going over to Academy and picking up several boxes of the Winchester Super Sport in # 7 1/2. I have an old A5 20 gauge and I don't like light loads in it. I'll pick up some 2 3/4 1 oz 7 1/2's at some point too. I'm planning on hunting more with my 20 gauges than I have in the past and I need to build up some inventory.
Got some cash from my son, so there won't be an ATM charge and I'll pay him back later. We've been married for 38 years so I have the process down to an art.Don't forget to use cash. They can't track that unless they go through your wallet.![]()
