13 year old boys eager to hunt

Was planning to travel to Britton area to hunt w/ friend and our two boys (good hunters with all safety training) over their Thankgiving vacation from school. Concerned as i didn't realize it was during deer season 27th-5th - dangerous time to have boys in the field with that much action, also hearing public or WIA are sparse and not netting good brid count. Had also planned on late Dec hunt as these are only opportunities to get these young men involved. Should a guy re-schedule the Nov trip - concern if they miss that window Dec may be too cold for them??? If i leave them home they may not forgive me.

Anyone have any suggestions or guidance.
 
I wouldn't worry about east river deer starts on the 20th there won't be that many guys deer hunting over thanksgiving, you will probably see more pheasant hunters, but the pressure still shouldn't be to bad.
 
I have hunted SD during deer season. Never really saw any resident get out of their pick up to hunt deer. :rolleyes:
