Took the day off to volunteer at my oldest son's school. Managed 20 minutes of field time between meals and bagged this first year, early hatch, rooster.
Gunner's first point led to about a dozen pheasants flushing at once, the majority hens, and only hens within my comfort range. There were at least three roosters in the bunch, but none met their fate.
A very quick, in-and-out, windy hunt/walk. Good for the soul none the less!

20 minutes to chase birds is impressive! Please tell me what Gunner helped serve at school lunch?
