My youngest roosters taken this year, by far. They came up in a bunch of 25+, and I doubled on these two.

Thought I'd take some close up pictures given all of our recent talk about aging birds.

Congrats!

Hello Nate,

I am going out tomorrow to get my fix! Hope to post pics tomorrow evening. I will be spending the day in Pocahontas area. Hard to believe you harvested two birds born on the end of July--isn't it? I would put them at 10 weeks. 11 weeks at the extreme! I may have shared with you prior that they are fully feathered in color at 16 weeks. It just a matter of growing bigger then. You are also witnessing what I have been witnessing. These birds are young enough to still be with their brood and momma! I have seen this twice this year already.

I am confident I am still in the lead with my pin feathered head of a rooster posted earlier this month! It is amazing all of the young birds this year given the flooding across our state.

Just think what it would have been given a dry spring!:)
