    Shells? Bring Money

    I find some 20ga #6 and #5 but they don’t stick around long. A 20 is all I use.

    Beretta A400 20 gauge extreme

I guess what is tolerable won’t be determined until you can shoot one. I think that either 20 ga Beretta A400 or a Remington 1100 would do the job. I also shoot a 20 O/U Beretta and it defiantly has more recoil than the either of the semi autos. I have no arthritis in my shoulders so my response...

    Beretta A400 20 gauge extreme

I am sure it helps to reduce recoil some in a 20 but there isn’t much to begin with. The recoil reduction will probably be more noticeable in 12 ga than a 20 ga.

    Beretta A400 20 gauge extreme

I have a 20 ga A400 Upland with the K/O. Love it. No naming, no miss fires and fits me just right. Have used it phesant hunting for two years now and skeet shooting. That said I really could not tell any difference in the recoil vs my 20 ga 1100.

    Shells? Bring Money

Scary thing about it is that I can’t see the price of shells going down much if the supply ever gets better.

    New upland shotgun?

I have a 20ga and use Berreta A400 Uplander. No problems with it. It brings them down. That said my son in law does seem to get a few more at longer distances with his 12 ga and that makes sense. More lead in the air with a 12 than a 20 but I will keep my 20 and be happy with it.

    New pheasant shotgun??

I purchased a Beretta 20 ga A400 Upland last year that is fabulous on phesant. Comes with 5 chokes, can take 2 3/4” and 3” shells, light weight, has K/O recoil reduction system and is very reliable. If you can find a dealer who has one it will fit into your budget.

    Beretta A400 20ga Upland

Ended up using #6 2&3/4” 20 ga IC on my KS pheasant hunt. Can’t complain. Only one got away and it was a clear miss. It kept flying til it was almost out of site.

    Beretta A400 20ga Upland

Took the A400 20ga and it did the job. No misfires, jams, nothing went wrong. Son in law using a 12 ga got a few birds that were out of my range....skill wise. All in all I am quite happy with my 20ga Upland A400.

Do you shoot a 2&3/4” or 3” shell when hunting phesant with you 20?

    Beretta A400 20ga Upland

I bought the 20ga and have been shooting skeet with it since August. It has improved my shooting. Will be out to see if it helps my phesant shooting in a week.

Anyone hunt with a Beretta A400 20ga Upland? If so how did it do?

Best choke for 20ga using pointing dogs

Been shooting tons of skeet/trap thru the summer and seem to hit better with the IC. Understand if they start getting out past 35 yds MOD will be better. Thanks for reply.

Best choke for 20ga using pointing dogs

Heading to hunt Kansas. Area will still have some crops standing and CRP fields. Lots of good cover. Will be using three dogs that have previously worked well together on pining down pheasants in the early season. Most shots 35 yds and under. Using a Beretta A400 20 ga loaded with #6 1oz loads...
