If you have some cold nights below 35 what time would you get out after the pheasant? Morning, late afternoon or the evening? I am not sure how their habits change in the early season when the nights are so cold. Thanks

I might need to try a little later in the season and see how it goes. Do you guys make much effort to hunt early or just wait?

If you could only pick one week to hunt pheasant in South Dakota what week and why? Kind of new to upland hunting and did the first week last year. The heat was tough on the dog but I also like getting out early in the season. It was all public land and we were able to get on some birds.
