Slip on recoil pads are as ugly as homemade sin. Also, on most field guns, it lowers the point of impact as it increases the length of pull. Unless those are your goals, as Cheesy suggested, have a real recoil pad installed.

That's why you cannot hunt til 10:00 a.m. They need time to plant the birds each morning.
