Made it out for the opener which was very windy early. Everything settled down in the afternoon and the weather was perfect. Many of my normal spots were hayed so that was the bad news. Found a few birds and did some good shooting. The roads were tricky but started drying out with the late...

Hunted western Minnesota for the opener for four days. Saw plenty of birds but much of the corn was standing. Corn is coming down fast right now and I look forward to the next trip. Plenty of places to hunt from the state and Pheasants Forever. Now I can really see where my PF money goes...

Maynard, in my humble opinion, I would classify you as an Intentional Habitat Farmer. Your Ponderosa is such a wonderful example of farming and providing cover for all wildlife. It was a joy to visit you at the farm and see what a person can do if they put their mind to doing something great...

Praise the Lord, your rain dance is dynamic. Please feed the pheasants. I will pay you a visit this year if you don't mind my friend.

Hopefully they included FREE bedbugs with each stay.

It will be LOTS of walking with very very few opportunities for pheasants. The hatch was poor, almost no hens to produce chicks. Passed though the area last week on the way to South Dakota. Good luck to everyone.
