Cooking Own Meals at the Motel

Sadly I travel some for work, probably 2-3 nights per week. On the upside my company covers my meals….. on the downside I am sick of eating out…… honestly I’d settle for a jetboil and a decent freeze dried mountain house meal.

    The flush

It’s entertainment. I’ll watch it, I’m not offended by it at all. In a way I feel this thread reads as I would see an IPA snob or Starbucks snob casting stones about Busch Latte’s or the comparable. While I may raise my eyebrow if I saw all the dudes touching each others butts (I have yet to...

Do we need to get away from plastic ?

I agree, I picked up nearly enough trash Sunday, I wouldn’t have room for a limit of pheasants in my vest. Speaking of bags, pieces of silage bags blow my mind when they hang on fences, generally large enough where I wonder how anyone let them blow away unnoticed.

    2025 WI Pheasant Thread

Haven’t seen sorghum in SW WI in years. I’m sure it’s here, probably just tucked away in some corner. And of course I get the fact from a distance it can be hard to differentiate and easily mistaken for corn. Hope to get out this weekend, for a walk. Will see if I can scare one up.

Do we need to get away from plastic ?

Honestly wish the wads were a brighter color. I try to look for them and pick them up if I walk the flight path. A blaze orange wad may be easier to spot, even from another hunter.

Do we need to get away from plastic ?

Holy #$&@ did that article just say the plastic was more biodegradable and less toxic than paper??? What am I missing??? And honestly carrying a dozen shells M/L weight issue would be negligible.

Anyone give up another form of hunting all together to just hunt birds instead?

So this is odd, that I may be able to put in my novice two cents lol. I don’t yet have a dog, but just recently got engaged in bird hunting, so I’m about as green as green can be….. but 58 and hunted fairly hard core from 12 to about 50 for big game, but never upland birds…. Just got tired of...
