Never understood the issue with going away shots, they present the largest target area for vital hits. Only a problem if you are shooting behind.

You shouldn't be losing many birds without a dog and with a dog that number ideally should be around 0. It does inevitably happen to even the best shooters and dog combos.

If the vast majority of birds do not see any hunting pressure throughout the year, why does the season length matter? Also, as goose stated there are no chukar so it really doesn't matter anyways 😉
