We hunted Wednesday and Thursday this week out west along the border. Ran into multiple groups hunting each day and had to pass on multiple fields that were occupied. The hotel was 1/2 full of hunters as well (On a Wednesday night!). Bring on some snow, please!

Update. Arrived Saturday and we have found walkable ice in the locations we have hunted. Bird numbers have been decent with a three person limit on day-one and we were one short today but that was due to some lackluster shooting. Public land only. Most birds have been in or around cattails...

We are heading back to the Faulkton area next week. Any recent reports for this particular area. Assuming most of the corn is down and cattails have yet to freeze solid ??
