Well It seems a fire on Casper Mountain may have taken out the family cabin. If not it probably will today. Anyway The pic's in the casper star tribune and on ktwo tv put it right at ground Zero. Glad I pulled all the snow toy's to my little brothers house. :(

Well its almost July and Quail broods are looking good. I saw several broods flying across the roads in my travels this week. Its looking much better than last year, so far. The outer part, of the city even got some Rain this week. Come on October 5. I even saw a rooster run across the road...

Well Arizona has four wild fires burning at this time and I see Colorado Has one burning by Fort Collins. Not a good thing at all. Bleu Is that fire anywhere near you???? I hope not.

This am I saw 10 to12, chicks following moma, shoot across the road, in front of my truck, bring up the rear was pop. Seem a bit early, but I'll take it. How about you all?? Seeing any chicks yet??

Yesterday I saw several Gambels roosters Duking it out. First signs of breeding season. I looked around to see if the hens are sitting on nests yet. I didn't see any Hens just roosters. So maybe they are?????

Finally Raining in Arizona. It's been 3 + months since any measurable rain has fallen on this part of the state. I hope the weather forecast is right, they are calling for more than an Inch. This is critical for the quail hatch.
