Had a damn good burger at Buffalo Bill's in Oakley a couple of weeks ago. Great onion rings too. Can't remember the name of the place, but a few years back I had a really good prime rib dinner at a place in Colby. It was in the parking lot of our motel.

No regrets here either. Got to spend quality time with my 27 year old son who is busy with his own life. Love being out there and seeing the wildlife, sunsets, sunrises, etc.

Just got back last night. 2 days with my son and two dogs. Walked over 10 miles. Private and WIHA. Killed 2 quail and 4 roosters. Could've had one more of each with better shooting. One field with a good amount of birds. Probably flushed 10 to 12 roosters but they wouldn't hold. Talked...

Sorry for your loss. Losing a dog, even to old age, is always hard. But losing one in her prime is heartbreaking. I hope you have many fond memories this fall as you spread her ashes. Shoot a few roosters for her while you are at it.

I live in Stilwell, KS(south of Kansas City). Haven't seen any corn coming out and very few doves around. Hope to get some shooting in a little later in the dove season. I love fall. Hoping to get out as much as possible this year. No high expectations but looking forward to getting the dog...
