I just bought a case of Kent Fast Lead. I've never shot it before. When it arrived I noticed that they are not high brass. I don't think I've ever seen a pheasant load that wasn't. They are 12 gauge 5 shot 1345FPS. Just curious if Kent has always been low brass or if that is something new...

Yes I can! I was planning to go out for one last hunt this weekend, but the area I planned to hunt got between 6 and 12 inches of snow. With temps forecasted in the high 40's and low 50's, I decided I don't want to fight the muddy roads, so my season is over.

I had really good prime rib dinner there last Friday night.

I had lunch there last Saturday. Really enjoyed it. Taking one last trip the final weekend of the season. My girlfriend's birthday is the 27th, so she's joining me and the dog for that trip and we will be having dinner there that Saturday night.

I'll be out one last time the final weekend.

I've hunted pheasants in Kansas for a little over 40 years (first trip was when I was 12). Definitely isn't and probably never will be like the "good ol' days", but I still enjoy getting out. I had a great time last weekend. Can't complain at all about Saturday. Without a miss I would've had...

Got out this weekend. Hunted WIHA and private. Shot 3 (should've had 4) on Saturday. Saw around 20 birds total. Hunted until noon yesterday and didn't see a bird. Didn't see any quail, but saw a group of around 70 antelope on Saturday and a group of around 30 yesterday.

Good luck. Nothing better than a fresh snow hunt.
