Gear That Lasted At Least A Decade?

A sweet little thing had it made for me on a date at a fair back in high school. The dog was a spitting image of my first and best shorthair I ever had. I have never washed it, it just get better with every field it carries a little dust out of. It fits perfect and still carries the duck bill...

Gear That Lasted At Least A Decade?

I have a vest from cabelas that is going on 23 yrs old this year and I have a hat that I love that is going 27+years now. I've told my wife and daughter to cremate or bury me with it. That hat has seen a lot of great country and had a lot of fun in its life.

    Hotels in Huron

I travel with 3 if not 4 dogs a lot of the time. There's been times my "dog fees" are as much or close to the room cost and thats tough to swallow when they are kenneled and leave no mess behind that I ever see. I used to lie and just pay for like 1 but the "park at the room door" motels aren't...

    Accidental Pheasants in W Kansas

Eastern half is just as bad except we started with more trees. But give those track hoes time they're working on that.

Tell them to put the mowers away and hook up the flatbed, hay coming out of ears here in the Southeast.

history of the MN buffer strip legislation/bill/law

Yeah I know it but I feel like the general public is ignorant to this situation and PF, QF, NWTF, wildlife departments, etc etc have a large cheap voice these days with social media or pay for a few commercials to educate people to help get these bills passed. Just hunters will never get it...

history of the MN buffer strip legislation/bill/law

Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska....the list could go on and on of the states that would benefit from a program like this. If the states were smart they'd pick a period like we're in now of crappy commodity prices and high inputs to launch some programs. No better time to get marginal acres, crop or hay...

    Long Distance Traveling for Birds

The chaos of multiple dogs loose in the truck or hotel room is too much for this guy. Plus I like a nice stogey or 2 while I'm on the road and I don't like the dogs breathing that either.

    Long Distance Traveling for Birds

I often wonder too how guys get along with dogs in the trucks over a hunt. I've got enough dogs now that hotels kill me with fees and just the hassle with kennels and crap is a pain. My box is not small but they definitely can't stretch out in them and on cold nights I'm not sure how they would...

    Inheritance

Most misinterpreted quote in cinema history. Guilty myself for a long time. Huckle Bearer is what ole Doc says. Huckle was a casket in those days. Who knew?

    Long Distance Traveling for Birds

We used an old airstream for a lot of years when I was in my 20s. We'd cram 3-4 guys, dogs, and gear in that sucker. It was fun but added a whole extra aspect to a trip between getting the camper road ready, setup when you get there, and having to organize gear constantly to fit. Not to...

    E-collar question

Lots of good info on here if you do a search. Good collar selection is very dependent on breed and terrain you plan to hunt. You don't have to break the bank on a collar but a good collar will last a lot of years and is cheaper in the long run than replacing cheap ones every few years.
