    Hunting with two dogs.

I have a female pointer now that when she was young she decided she needed to howl and try and tear my box apart when she got left behind. After those games she found herself in that box everyday I got home from work. I'd take her to check cows or do chores or whatever and just left her in...

    Pressure?

Anything decent will have a truck there from wee hours of the morning on trying to hold it down. And after mid morning the few tracks left in wiha that have cover anymore will have been walked already at least once. Having said that, Kansas has so much worthless public ground that the traffic...

    Hunting with two dogs.

As I got older and hunted solo a lot more I decided to widen my swath and get a second dog, which then led to a 3rd lol, just to cover more ground when the cover allows it and the field's are bigger. I don't have the best spots any more in KS but I couldn't tell you the last time I had the...

A person could have a drinking game using "pockets" as the drink word and have a good time reading their propaganda every year 🍺

OT- homemade meals while on the road

I ate them exactly that way for years when around my grandpa. After a probably 20 year gap I grabbed some from the store and and couldn't hardly get 2 of them down hahaha. Somehow they didn't hit the same these days🤷‍♂️

    Hunting with two dogs.

Head on a swivel for sure and I have had times it stresses me out but when it goes right it's something to watch. I've got a couple litter mate pointers in my pack now that seem to have a bond and just work extremely well together and watching them work together and get something locked down...

    Hunting during deer season

I'm not going to push out a draw a guy mat be camped out in. But if it's a big tract and I've got a good idea where he is and there's grass or cover away from him I can get in I'm not saying I wouldn't. No different than if a guy is parked in a cove fishing, I'm not casting over him but I'm not...

    Hunting during deer season

Not intentionally ruining anything, I'd give them a wide berth but if the terrain allowed I may dip into part of it. I as a deer hunter on public land, as I do as a bird hunter anymore, would not be surprised to have someone else wander through an area I was in at some point throughout the day.

    Hunting with two dogs.

The way I have to get my days in at this point in life with work, wife, kid etc is blocks of days at a time. I can't imagine getting that done with one dog, we'll have 3 or 4 dogs wore slick after a 4 or 5 day trip even rotating them. We usually drop 2 and rest 2 each field to get through a...

    Hunting during deer season

I find it interesting when you read responses and folks have no problem hopping in a piece of ground another guy or group may already be bird hunting but avoid places when a guy wants to sit all day on a place looking for Bambi? I guess I'm the opposite almost, I've never intentionally hunted a...

Solar Farms = Habitat Destruction ?

When all the backroom stuff came to light here. Land had been secured or purchased by investors as far back as 4 years before any plans were mentioned. They hope to have their hooks in so deep before the public finds out that the neighbors think there's nothing they can do. It's a chickenshit...

Solar Farms = Habitat Destruction ?

In our county the people fought back against the commisioners issuing commercial use permits for this crap. Your neighbors can't put commercial entities on their property usually without rezoning. That was the way we beat it and kept them out. Don't just lay down and let it happen. The whole...
