The areas suffering heavy drought will be poor. Nebraska was brutal to me 2 weeks ago didn't even hear a shot opening day.

Fun to hunt but not great tasting unfortunately.

Just closer than SD or ND is main reason. With the drought in NE and KS I have been contemplating ND or SD myself this year.

Many premium lead loads are either nickel plated or copper plated. I mainly shoot nickel plated myself(B&P), it doesn't look like any lead in this study is plated just plain old cheap stuff. Steel shot is not a good alternative for pheasants IMO. Because this is a tower hunt I would suspect the...

If it were mine I would convert it all into CRP at some point. My best hunting always involves CRP that is mature. Weeds year to year vary a lot on cover they provide.

I was in Scheels today here in Colorado they had tons of pheasant ammo now all running around 14.99 a box. Good to see this.

Shell gasoline is ridiculously expensive I never buy any for that reason alone.

I did a little looking into it, appears a lot of #4 shot Fast Lead a few years ago had an issue. Pretty isolated incident with Fast Lead IMO.

Defective Fast lead from wading? Never heard of any issues with any of it and never seen anything from Wakeman on it either.
