Why would G&F need to supplant birds in a state abundant with them already? This is like an old wives tale I keep hearing that makes no sense. The private operations yes I can see, but not the entire state.

I have hunted Nebraska for 28 years, birds adapt quickly and shooting at them if they have began starting to roost towards dusk is no big deal IMO. Usually they simply fly to their next safe spot they have.

It doesn't move really all that far. Typically it is held in Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota mostly all around this region. Disappointing they don't bring it to Denver or some place else once in awhile.

Worst season ever, Nebraska and Kansas drought decimated these areas beyond worst imaginable. It may be years for these places to recover so next fall I will be in North or South Dakota.
