Any idea how the parents hunted? Some dogs are natural trackers, some need some training. Use a bird with its flight feathers pulled for the track training.

On long hunts or multiple day hunts, I also supplement his water bottles with a little GoDog (Amazon) powdered formula. I use about half the recommended amount. It’s got a little chicken flavor (and some vitamins), which helps him stay hydrated. It seems he’ll normally drink a 16-20 oz bottle...

My vet recommends a little plain canned pumpkin or beets in with their food when traveling and/ or extended hunts, it’s good for their digestive system.

Maybe they’re scouting whose house to break into based on what they’re up against. :oops:

Bathroom, ac, full size fridge, two burner stove and microwave. Pull down bed from ceiling and couches fold flat into beds. My dog knows it like his home.

We have an 18’ toy hauler we set up for base camp. Hunt in SD and WI. Some campgrounds are closed and some have water off, but I’ve still been able to find some open. Late in the year (cold temps), you won’t have usable water in your camper so you have to deal with that. We rented two campers...

I’ve truck camped and tent camped, but the weather can fluctuate too much when you’re hundreds of miles from home. No fun going to the bathroom outside in the middle of the night in the rain and/ or in single digits. We rented a couple RVs (try rvshare.com) and trailers to see what worked best...
