Yeah I looked in to that on my bobwhite, just to make the extension look a little cleaner. Doing some research I just now realized Ugartechea shut the plant down. Also been looking at upland gun company too. Little more money but the process looks pretty awesome!

What's it weigh? I'm gonna have to start looking very seriously about getting one. Length is a problem for me, stupid long arms...

That's very similar to what I have.

I prefer extractors actually. Extractors, splinter front end, double triggers, straight grip and I would be set. Lighter and shorter the better. I guess chokes would be a nice thing but I don't really need that.

    Best GoPro 8 settings

I can't get the link to work. I bought one that has done floating material under the hat(I cut it off) and have a mount on the front and a metal backer inside. You gotta poke 2 small holes through to get it all sandwiched together but it works pretty slick. I got enough QF hats laying around...

Since we're talking side by sides what's would be a good smaller gauge(like 20 or 28) gun for someone looking for a light weight quail gun? Say around the 2k mark for fun...

    Columbia Lightweight Brush Pants

Kinda along the same lines. I had my brother repair my old chaps, and told him while he was at it to add some pockets to the front. He did them up a little fancy so new chaps would've been cheaper but there's not another pair out there like em. That said, you can definitely have someone add a...

    Being shot

Side note. I have the same .35 Remington. It was my dad's first deer rifle and mine as well. It actually got stolen out of our house after it was hit by the Joplin tornado, but I have a replacement now. Stupid thieves!

    Being shot

Yeah we all learned on a savage .410/.22. I love the history and nostalgia of it (everyone in my family learned in that thing) but in hindsight it wasn't a good one to start on. My son has a pump now, I still have the original and he shot his first bird with it but it was under extremely close...

    Being shot

This is a tough one for me to share but it has completely changed how I hunt and has stuck with me to this day so it definitely had a positive affect in the end. My first year pheasant hunting, first pheasant hunt actually, I got to go with my dad and grandpa out to dodge city area for a...

Workout / train (humans, not dogs) for upcoming season

I've been doing more lifting this year, but gonna start adding cardio in here next week, bump the workouts up to 2 a days. The hardest part to me is eating "healthy"... I was trying to get in decent enough shape for an upcoming chukkar hunt, but I think that might fall through now. Either way...

just a thought to bring upland birds to the public

I don't think that was the OPs idea. I think he was suggesting something more along the lines of like roaring river. Just keep releasing them with the intention of drawing in hunters, not so much to help population at all. Maybe I misunderstood him. If I'm right the idea sounds like fun, but...

    Camping for upland hunting

Well after an awful night's sleep last night I can highly NOT recommend sleeping in the cab of an f150. Still worth it to get some chicken hunting in!
