Should I feel bad cutting a stock?

It’s a Fabarm Elos D2.12 28” It’s the only used one I could find so I kind of wanted to wait until I decided if I was going to buy it.

Should I feel bad cutting a stock?

Thanks Labradinger I’m sure that’s what I’d do. I kind of butchered a browning gold one time but have done a couple of berettas since and done an ok job. But I’m sure a gunsmith would do a much better job on the pad and really all the way around.

Should I feel bad cutting a stock?

Hey guys I’m on the fence about purchasing my first over and under. I have been looking used and think I have found what I’m looking for. My semis I’ve either cut or swapped pads on. 14 3/16 seems to be about right for me. I’m 5-8 The gun I’m looking at is an alloy 61/2 lb 12 gauge. 14 1/2 lop...

    Favorite steel

It’s tough to judge distance in the field. I’ve walked to birds that I thought were out there and was on top of them in no time. You tube videos are even tougher with distance and especially angles. The first time I ran my camera my dog broke on a dove and I ran it back and looked like I shot...

    Favorite steel

I saw a video comparing penetration. Plated steel penetrated the deepest, closely followed by true round steel and then coming in last was lower quality steel shot. It was pretty unscientific,,, a couple of rounds of each through ballistic gel. But there was a pretty significant difference...

Gear That Lasted At Least A Decade?

I’m no cat lover for sure, but the cats I see are usually near a farm stead. On the farmers land or maybe his neighbors. If they don’t have some sort of outbuilding at night they don’t last very long, the coyotes will take care of them. Even at that the farmers who like having cats around have...

Lead shot ban (DFL introduced bills) opposed by MN State HS Clay Target League

I guess it makes sense to me that if the future is lead free the place to start would be with new shooters, of course someone is going to piggyback something onto it and push it to far and kill it. They could attack it from a different angle and require more frequent range cleanup and...

Upland strap vest you can load birds in

Here’s a picture of that vest before all put back together . Running the game bag left of center on the larger sized hip belt gets you room to run an extra bottle holder. Or you can just run it in the game bag and clip the bottle to the back of the yoke when it’s empty. The 32 ounce camelback...

    Muddy paws in house.

It’s prettty dry now but there for a couple of spans of about a month my dogs never stepped foot in the back yard. It was a mess. The routine was to get up take them to the park and then drop them off at my wife’s work. Then pick them up stop at the park and bring them home. They are good dogs...

Upland strap vest you can load birds in

My last day of my season I walked 35000 steps or 16.2 miles . I had days this year I did half of that in a single walk. I don’t believe in the accuracy of those step counters and generally roll my eyes at people who quote them but that’s a lot of damn walking. I had a couple of days a year ago...
