Anyone have any bird number reports with dove season approaching? Edwards/Pawnee area? Know its been a hot and dry summer up there like it has been down here but they tend to do a little better in drought summers. Thanks in advance!

I’ve been reading that the pheasants are doing better in Iowa. Anyone know why that is? Since CRP is nationwide, what is different in Iowa that seems to be turning things around?

We had 2 WIHA there. One still there and one gone. Killed limits out of those two fields in 2004 and 2005. Hit the one that is still there on Saturday. Looks like it did back in the day. And still holds birds.

Yea 2015-16 in Oklahoma panhandle gave folks a taste of what the good old days were like anywhere at anytime in the country.

We hunted that area back in early 2000s. Amazing how different it looks now. Edwards up towards Lewis and Larned does Not even resemble what it did. I guess it isn’t ever coming back.
