    Disappointed

Cabelas dropped their good clothing lines long before Bass Pro Shops bought them.

    Disappointed

Bass Pro is Bass Pro and I have always loved shopping there and just going there. Cabela's dug their own grave.

    Disappointed

Their catalogs were so awesome during the 80's. Always loved the big one, but couldn't wait to get the fall catalog with the new camo. They offered a lot of different quality camo.

    What would your reaction be?

Shit people are shit people, regardless of where they are from. But Kansas residents deserve the opening weekend by themselves.

    What would your reaction be?

You need to post his number then. That is the only way to make it hard on the outfitters and force the state legislature to do something about them. Otherwise, people will keep using them. Most of my bad encounters are NR's nowadays. We just don't have near the resident hunters that we had...

    What would your reaction be?

So Kansas residents with a guide? Most guides in Kansas are NR's. Take a look at most of the outfitters websites and you will find a large percentage don't have Kansas phone numbers. They generally are NR's leasing land.

    Pressure?

They did that so that they could control legislation on NR deer hunting. They don't want biologists making decisions. It all boils down to NR hunting. Right now they know that the KDWP wants to ban baiting, so Legislation will block it.

    Pressure?

The WIHA program needs to end. And the gov't needs to find a way to keep CRP acres in conservation and not grazing and haying. NR deer hunting has been the biggest of enemy of upland hunting and all other forms of hunting in Kansas. The worst decision for resident hunting came down in 1995...

    Disappointed

Stopped in the Cabela's in Sidney back in the 80's a couple of times. Time and technology has ruined everything about hunting and the outdoors.

Yep, always liked Tritronic in the past til they were taken over by Garmin. That is when Dogtra started selling a lot of collars.

    Lack of hens

Agreed. There is always more carryover with hens as well and hens tend to hold instead of flushing

NEWS FLASH: Drought ends at Ponderosa

1.35 total. We need more to fill Cedar Bluff. I called today and the lake hasn't even came up an inch. We need a big 10 inches of rain over a week period to bring it up and help the Aquifer. This will help the wheat but that is it.

    Rising straight away shot

Probably gun fit. Make sure your length of pull is correct and make sure your gun is shimmed for a 60-40 pattern.

1.30 so far. Hope we get some more. Radar looks like we might keep getting rain for another couple of hours.

Dog not eating when on the road hunting

On the road I always mix a little hot water with my dry food. But my dogs would rather eat than anything else. How old is the pup?

    Choking for Wind

I prefer a little wind. I don't know when in the hell you will get a 5 to 8 mph wind in Kansas. I find that with wind I am able to slip up on a rooster much more than calm days. Of course I hunt by myself and not with a people hollering "rooster". Never could figure that one out.

    What would your reaction be?

We pay taxes on everything, grocery, gas, insurance, and everything else year round. We deserve to have the fields to ourselves opening weekend.

    Time for another e collar!!

Dogtra Arc is a terrific collar.

    What would your reaction be?

It would be nice if Kansas had the opening weekend for residents only. Then have the 2nd week for NR's. You would still get idiots but only half as many.
